Sex Therapy

Mariam specialises in helping couples and individuals facing sexual difficulties. She holds face to face sessions for clients who are based in Cairo at ACPP in Maadi and The Place in New Cairo. She also offers online sessions. Mariam has experience working cross-culturally and has supported clients from various cultural backgrounds.

While she trained as a relationship therapist as well as a sex therapist, Mariam currently only sees clients with sexual difficulties. She works integratively and uses a multitude of approaches depending on the needs of her clients.

Sexual Difficulties

Mariam provides therapy for clients facing the following:

• Painful sex (vaginismus, painful intercourse)

• Arousal and desire difficulties

• Orgasm difficulties

• Erection difficulties

• Premature ejaculation (rapid ejaculation)

• Delayed ejaculation (inhibited ejaculation)

• Sexual desire discrepancy (lower desire partner - higher desire partner)

• Postpartum sexual difficulties

• Sexual difficulties after medical diagnosis/during treatment (chronic illness, cancer, and other)

• Sexual shame

• General difficulties with sexual intimacy
